Parents. For thirty eight years I have worked with teenagers. How sad it has been for parents to seek my help ONLY in crisis mode, when prevention and preparation could have alleviated so much heartache. A bad parenting habit is easy to form. A good one takes intentionality. Take full advantage of this resource to help develop great parenting habits, not only for your teenager, but for your grandchildren. For someday, they just might parent like you. Pass on a great role model.

Finally, a place where I can seek guidance. Jeremy, I have always known you were an awesome person and I am very happy for Parentzilla. I will stay tuned in for sure and invite all of my friends with teens and preteens. It certainly is an adventure to be a parent. No one was born knowing how to be a parent and for that matter, kids were not born knowing exactly how to be kids. It’s a learning journey for both of us. I know it’s a cliche to say “it takes a village to raise a child,” but I have seen it to be true. As a parent, I look to other parents who have gone through or are currently dealing with my same teenage situations to help me be more understanding to my teens. I have two of them in my home and sometimes I feel like they have a secret teen-pact.

I am so glad to see you doing this. I am still in student ministry at FBC in Madison, MS. Anne Coon Albritton is one of my SS teachers and she let me know about your new website. I pray that all is well with you and that this adventure goes well in helping teen families. I, too, believe that the family is the key factor in the spiritual (and any other) grow in their lives.
